Morrison Construction Building Central’s National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) project at Paisley, has won the award for Commercial Project of the Year at this year’s Herald Property awards.
The scheme, which was built on behalf of the University of Strathclyde, is a flagship research and development facility, and innovation incubator, supporting manufacturing, engineering and associated technology businesses of all sizes. The 11,500m2 building has been built to be operationally carbon neutral and was built with sustainability at its core.
The Herald Property Awards serve to honour the achievements of Scotland’s most innovative and successful home and commercial builders, developers, property sales agents, interior designers and social landlords.
David Ewing, Managing Director for Morrison Construction Building Central, commented: “This success demonstrates our commitment to innovation and excellence across our schemes, as well as our focus on delivering our clients carbon targets.
“I am incredibly proud of the team that made this success possible, and I hope everyone is as pleased as I am with this news.”
