Morrison Construction has attended a number of events over the past few days, to mark Scottish Apprenticeship Week and spread awareness of apprenticeship opportunities in the construction industry.

Mia Keith, from Morrison Construction Building Highland’s Communities team, represented the business at several different events, including an event at Nairn Academy, a UK careers fair event in Inverness and an apprenticeship fair at Charleston Academy in Inverness.

Meanwhile, Morrison Construction Building Central conducted a series of talks for students, including at Craigmount High School, and Earlston High School, where Graduate Quantity Surveyor Colin Peters delivered a session on graduate apprenticeships.

The Communities team were also in attendance alongside representatives from Galliford Try Early Careers, exhibiting at the National Apprenticeship Show in Glasgow.

Jim Johnstone, Head of Communities & Social Impact for Morrison Construction, commented: “This has been a hugely enjoyable and beneficial week for us at Morrison Construction.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities in our industry, and I hope the efforts of the team this week will go some way to inspire young people to consider the opportunities in our industry.”
