Morrison Construction's Building Central business has signed a £69 million contract to build the new Paisley Grammar School Community Campus on behalf of Renfrewshire Council.
The school is being funded by Renfrewshire Council and Scottish Futures Trust, as part of the Scottish Government’s Learning Estate Investment Programme, and will feature new all-weather sports pitches and a 300-seat theatre, alongside new educational facilities that will accommodate up to 1,380 pupils.
The contract follows the successful redevelopment of Paisley Town Hall for the same client last year, and builds on a prolific portfolio of consolidated education campuses across the central belt, including the award-winning Barony Campus, Winchburgh Campus and Wallyford Campus.
David Ewing, Managing Director for Morrison Construction Building Central, commented: “We are delighted to have secured this fantastic project with our partners at Renfrewshire Council. We have a strong track record in creating high-quality educational facilities at scale across Scotland, and look forward to delivering for the students and staff at Paisley."
