Morrison Construction has successfully completed the new Health Innovation Hub in Govan, delivered for the University of Glasgow and Kadans Science Partner.
The landmark facility is a flagship investment within the Glasgow Riverside Innovation District (GRID) and has been supported by Scottish Enterprise. Designed as a highly flexible environment for life sciences and health businesses, the Hub provides state-of-the-art laboratory and office space, strengthening research links with the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The building will be home to commercial occupiers alongside the University-led Living Laboratory for Precision Medicine, an internationally recognised programme supported by UKRI Strength in Places funding. It also includes a Digital Health Validation Lab to accelerate the evaluation and adoption of digital health technologies into clinical practice.
An accessible ground floor café and collaboration space ensures the building is welcoming and usable for the local community, reflecting the project’s strong civic focus.
David Ewing, Managing Director for Morrison Construction Building Central, said: “Completing the Health Innovation Hub is a significant achievement for everyone involved. This facility will play a vital role in bringing together academia, industry and the NHS to drive innovation and deliver meaningful health outcomes. We are proud to have helped create a building that will support research, growth and opportunity for Govan and beyond."
