Gordon Williamson appointed as new MD for Morrison Construction Building Highland

Gordon Williamson has been appointed as the new Managing Director for Morrison Construction’s Building Highland business.

Gordon, who joined the Morrison Construction team as a Site Manager in 2006, before working his way up to his current role as Construction Director, succeeds Donald McLachlan who is retiring after a successful 13 years in the role and 22 years in the business.

During his time with the business Gordon has worked on major projects such as the Nucleus Archive building at Caithness, as well as being a driving force behind Building Highland’s recent success in the distillery sector.

Ian Jubb, Divisional Managing Director for Building, commented: “Gordon has a wealth of experience, is extremely well supported by a very strong senior leadership team, and it always gives me satisfaction when we demonstrate our succession planning in action by promoting from within the company, reflecting the depth of talent we have within the business.
