Morrison Construction’s Freya Chapman has been recognised as Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Scotland's Most Promising Quantity Surveyor at this year’s awards.
CECA Scotland is the representative body for companies who deliver, upgrade and maintain Scotland’s infrastructure. The awards celebrate outstanding emerging talent in the industry.
Freya joined Morrison Construction in 2021 as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor and demonstrated a strong work ethic by taking on challenging situations and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
With her sights set on achieving membership of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), Freya's rapid progress since joining Morrison Construction has been remarkable, leading to her promotion to Quantity Surveyor.
Currently, Freya is overseeing the Pre-Stressed Concrete Tanks Capital Maintenance project, entailing approximately eight tank repairs totalling £3m upon completion.
Paul Ingham, Managing Director for Galliford Try Asset Creation - Environment Scotland, said: "Congratulations to Freya on this outstanding achievement. As she continues to embark on her journey in the industry, I have no doubt that Freya will continue to thrive and make significant contributions. I am confident that she will inspire others with her passion and determination.”
