The golf day was hosted by Scottish Water's East Hub, through which Morrison Construction is carrying out essential work across Scottish Water's operational services and the capital investment portfolio, as part of Delivery Vehicle 2 (DV2). Following their round of golf, the team presented CHAS with a cheque for £600.
CHAS is the single specialist provider of hospice services for babies, children and young people (0-21) and their families across Scotland. They support families through the terrifying heartbreak of knowing their child may die young. They make sure that even in the face of death, life flourishes. And in the pain of grief, keep the joy alive.
Drew Mackie, Construction Manager, Morrison Construction, said: "We are proud to support this fantastic event. There has been a great atmosphere throughout the day, with some healthy competition between teams and plenty of good humour.
"It's truly amazing to be able to make this donation to a wonderful charity, which provides such excellent support to vulnerable members of the local community and to know the money raised will make a positive difference to them during a difficult time."
Angharad Low, Corporate Partnerships Manager, for CHAS, added: "It was an absolute pleasure to attend the golf day and receive a cheque for £600 to help families cared for by our team at Rachel House. The money raised will make a huge difference to these families who have had an incredibly challenging few years and we are so grateful to Drew and the team for their generous support."
