Client: Aberdeenshire Council
Value: £4.5 million
Location: Aberdeen
The work on this project comprises the phased internal refurbishment and alterations to Aberdeenshire Council’s main office at Woodhill House. This not only included the office accommodation but also conference rooms and all link corridors together with the single storey annexe to the north of the main building.
The refurbishment was phased in order to cause as little distruption as possible to the 1,200 staff who were to remain in the building during this time.
The refurbishment included removal of asbestos that was in the floors and ceilings. The raised floors were replaced as was the ceilings, partitions, doors, column casings and floor coverings. New timber finishes were also installed. The mechanical and electrical works were also upgraded with the gas boiler and external gas supply pipe being replaced.
Following successful completion of the above, we were awarded the refurbishment of the committee rooms and the Lord Provosts suite in the council chambers building.
