The majority of our work in this sector is conducted within long-established collaborative relationships developed over many years, engendering a genuine sense of partnership.
Since 2004 we have been working with Scottish Water on its Capital Investment Delivery programmes - a nationwide procurement initiative - and through these frameworks have delivered over £350 million of capital works in Scotland. Work includes UID projects; water mains rehabilitation; waste and clean water capital maintenance; coastal and marine works and pumping stations.
In 2015 we secured a position, as part of the ESD consortium, on Scottish Water’s Non Infrastructure Alliance which will deliver a £600 million programme of process related upgrades to Scotland’s Waste and Water treatment assets.
As a market leader in the provision of construction services to the UK wastewater sector, we have been able to successfully apply this expertise to waste PPPs. We bring many innovative solutions to the technological challenges of the waste and wastewater arenas. Our experience of the planning issues, remediation challenges, treatment processes and construction execution has enabled us to successfully undertake large framework and PPP contracts.
The UK's first ever PPP wastewater facility at Allanfearn, near Inverness, was designed, built, financed and operated by our wider team and we have since progressed to deliver further major wastewater PPP schemes. These exceptional projects have enabled all our clients to secure substantial environmental and financial rewards for many years to come.
We are one of only five framework partners to have secured a position on all three of Scottish Water’s Capital Investment Delivery programmes, a nationwide procurement initiative. Through these frameworks we are helping deliver £2 billion of capital works in Scotland over a six year period. Work includes UID projects in and around Glasgow, water mains renewals spread through north and east Scotland, and various capital maintenance projects. Morrison is unique in Scotland by self-delivering on water mains renewal projects including carrying out lining works with our own employees.
